Meet the Wenlocks. Bernard is a TV Producer extraordinaire bowing out from public life to enjoy retirement with his wife Susan and handing the reigns over to his son Sebastian, whose first major production is to document the life and career of his eponymous father. All is well until Simon; the other shorter son, lands a bombshell on the family that slowly reveals the inner workings of this seemingly perfect Surrey family.  Interviews lead to emotional revelations, secrets unearthed and the benefits of coconut water, but will Simon find out who is to blame for The Stolen Inches?

The Stolen Inches was our first production and the debut full length play from Cordelia O’Neill. We took the show to the Edinburgh Festival in 2015 and not only did it sell out it’s run, it also received some fantastic reviews across the board:

‘…pager-turner tension…strong performances all round…O’Neill’s direction similarly impresses…The Stolen Inches is crying out to be developed into a two-acter’ – The Stage ****

‘The Small Things Theatre Company’s The Stolen Inches brilliantly puts family relationships under a microscope…delightfully complex in theme and message, and manages to find the sweet spot that a good deal of theatre is often seeking – we leave the auditorium full of thoughts and questions…Extremely well acted…The standard is notably high.’ – Broadway Baby ****

‘Playwright and director Cordelia O’Neill’s first full length play is a must-see domestic drama, beautifully put together and always with the importance of public image in mind.’     – A Younger Theatre ****

‘Subversive and intriguing piece of social satire’                          – The Scotsman ***

‘The production never misses a beat. The acting is, frankly, superb…a terrifically topical and consuming exploration of identity politics…a performance that had me hooked from start to finish.’ – EdFringe Review ****
